In what can only be described as an overnight ‘miracle’, Amazulu – who were fifth in the Telkom Charity Cup standings only yesterday, have somehow made a miraculous recovery and now occupy the top spot with just a few days to go before the closing date.

The swift surge from Usuthu sees them displace Mamelodi Sundowns who have occupied that position for the past week. While the Mighty Buccaneers – who are also defending champions, move down to fourth behind perennial rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

Hot behind the heels of Pirates are Mpumalanga Black Aces who trail by a mere 2000 votes.

Kwa-Zulu Natal outfit Amazulu, currently lead the voting standings having amassed 49,365 votes. Four-time winners Mamelodi Sundowns sit in second place on 46,829, while Soweto Giants Kaizer Chiefs (39,989) and Orlando Pirates (34,211) occupy third and fourth respectively.
